Eileen the Crow
Eileen is a hunter of hunters. You can meet her on the rafters at Central Yharnam’s Dry Dock, or later to the left of Oedon Chapel’s front. The wiki recommends helping her fight Henryk at the Tomb of Oedon before you enter the Forbidden Woods for the first time.
The successful route has two separate fights: keep Eileen alive against Henryk, then finish the Bloody Crow encounter after Rom. Getting the badge by killing Eileen is not equivalent to completing her quest and receiving the Hunter oath rune.
Early meeting and Henryk
Meet Eileen in Central Yharnam's Dry Dock rafters or later outside Oedon Chapel. Open the Cathedral Ward gates and exhaust her warning about Henryk. Go to the Tomb of Oedon, help her defeat him without killing her, then speak to her again.
Complete this step before entering the Forbidden Woods. The cited progression treats entering the woods without helping against Henryk as advancing a different quest branch; do not postpone it until after Rom.
After Rom: the Grand Cathedral
On the successful route, return to the Grand Cathedral after Rom and speak to the wounded Eileen outside. The enemy inside is the Bloody Crow of Cainhurst, not Eileen. Defeat him, then return outside and exhaust her dialogue for the Crow Hunter Badge and Hunter rune.
If the early branch was missed, a hostile Eileen can instead appear inside the cathedral. Her badge can be obtained on a death route, but that does not give the completed quest's Hunter rune. The quest is optional for the main ending.
