Rakuyo
The Rakuyo is a The Old Hunters weapon. It is at the bottom of the Fishing Hamlet well. One Shark Giant fights you, and at low health it calls a second. The second giant drops the weapon. The item text says it demands great dexterity.
The Rakuyo is a Skill weapon, not Maria's boss blood-blade effect in the player's hands. It requires 10 Strength and 20 Skill. Meet Strength once, then improve Skill for ordinary physical use; more Strength does not give its base scaling a new damage bonus.
Survive the well encounter
After Maria opens the route to the Fishing Hamlet, descend the village well. Fight the first giant while keeping space from its long anchor swings. When it calls the second giant, do not keep attacking between both bodies.
The cited community strategy uses a Shaman Bone Blade as the second giant joins to make them fight one another. It requires landing the close-range hit and is not an automatic win. If that attempt fails, separate the enemies rather than spending your remaining health on a trade. The second giant carries the Rakuyo.
A Skill build and gem choice
For a straightforward physical build, meet 10 Strength and 20 Skill, improve survivability, then take Skill toward 25 and later 50. These are progression suggestions rather than a fixed-level optimized build. Tempering physical gems support most of the moveset; a thrust-only gem plan narrows which attacks benefit.
The ordinary form leaves the firearm available. Transforming separates the blade and dagger for paired attacks, occupying the off hand. Unlike Chikage's transformed mode, this is not a continuously health-draining blood blade.
