Platinum roadmap

1. Explore before the final choice

• Main-path boss trophies: Father Gascoigne, Vicar Amelia, Shadow of Yharnam, Rom, The One Reborn, Micolash, and Mergo's Wet Nurse. Gehrman and Moon Presence are covered by ending trophies, not separate named boss trophies.
• Optional boss trophies: Cleric Beast, Blood-starved Beast, Witch of Hemwick, Darkbeast Paarl, Amygdala, Martyr Logarius, Celestial Emissary, and Ebrietas.
• Discovery trophies: Cainhurst (clinic summons and Hemwick carriage), The Choir (use the Upper Cathedral Key from Blood Moon Yahar'gul at the top of the Healing Church Workshop), The Source of the Dream (Abandoned Old Workshop), and Nightmare Lecture Building.
• Obtain the Pthumeru, Ailing Loran and Great Isz chalices from Blood-starved Beast, Frontier Amygdala and Ebrietas. Each has an acquisition trophy. Defeat the Queen on fixed Great Pthumeru Ihyll layer 3 for the separate Queen trophy.
• Upgrade one weapon to +10 for Weapon Master; a Blood Rock is on the hidden Mensis route, or can be bought with Insight after the Wet Nurse. Blood Gem Contact and Rune Contact require acquiring a gem and a rune; their Master counterparts require high-tier examples. Defiled/deep chalices supply high-tier gems; the high-tier Formless Oedon above Oedon Chapel is a Rune Master option.

2. Hunter's Essence: all base-game right-hand weapons

• Saw Cleaver, Saw Spear, Hunter Axe, Threaded Cane: starting choice, dry-dock Saw Spear, or purchases unlocked by the Saw Hunter Badge in Central Yharnam's boar tunnel.
• Kirkhammer: Sword Hunter Badge from Cleric Beast. Ludwig's Holy Blade: Radiant Sword Hunter Badge in the Healing Church Workshop tower.
• Rifle Spear: hidden Old Yharnam pickup or Powder Keg Hunter Badge shop. Stake Driver: Powder Keg badge shop; get the badge from Djura by killing or befriending him.
• Tonitrus: Yahar'gul pickup or Spark Hunter Badge shop after Paarl. Reiterpallasch: Cainhurst entrance-hall chest. Chikage: Cainhurst Badge shop after joining Annalise's Vilebloods.
• Blade of Mercy: Crow Hunter Badge shop. Complete Eileen's quest or acquire her badge by killing her; ignoring her until she disappears risks needing another cycle.
• Logarius' Wheel: Wheel Hunter Badge shop. Give Alfred the Unopened Summons from Annalise's chamber when he stands on the Cathedral Ward route toward Forbidden Woods. Do not kill him at his initial encounter if you want this badge route.
• Beast Claw: fixed Ailing Loran layer-2 pre-lamp side-area coffin. Burial Blade: Old Hunter Badge shop after defeating Gehrman. With the Moon Presence route active, leave that fight to shop before finishing; otherwise buy it in NG+.

3. Hunter's Essence: all base-game left-hand equipment

• Hunter Pistol and Hunter Blunderbuss: starting choice or Saw Hunter Badge shop. Repeating Pistol: Sword Hunter Badge shop. Ludwig's Rifle: Radiant Sword Hunter Badge shop.
• Evelyn: Cainhurst library chest. Cannon: upper machinery inside the Forbidden Woods windmill.
• Flamesprayer: speak to Gilbert after reaching Cathedral Ward and before the Blood Moon, or buy with the Radiant Sword Hunter Badge. Rosmarinus: Cosmic Eye Watcher Badge shop; the badge is in Upper Cathedral Ward.
• Torch: by the brick troll at Central Yharnam's plaza gate. Hunter's Torch: Old Yharnam rooftop pickup. Wooden Shield: corpse up the stairs outside Oedon Chapel. All three count, even if never used.

4. Hunter's Craft: all nine base-game tools

• Old Hunter Bone: grave beside the Abandoned Old Workshop. Beast Roar: Forbidden Woods house by caged dogs on the clinic-backdoor route.
• Augur of Ebrietas: Lecture Building 1F side-room chest. Empty Phantasm Shell: chest high in Byrgenwerth's college building.
• Executioner's Gloves: Cainhurst library's hidden storage-room chest reached via the window/balcony route. Tiny Tonitrus: Yahar'gul's Blood Moon holding-cell chest.
• A Call Beyond: beyond the breakable window after Celestial Emissary, on the route toward the Altar of Despair. Choir Bell: Mensis rafter-room chest near the Brain of Mensis hidden route.
• Messenger's Gift: Nightmare Frontier gorge off the main swamp, guarded by a Winter Lantern. You need to acquire the tools, not meet every Arcane casting requirement.

5. Three endings: ordinary cycles or a verified backup

• Yharnam Sunrise: submit to Gehrman. Honoring Wishes: refuse and defeat him without having consumed three cords. Childhood's Beginning: consume at least three cords, refuse, defeat Gehrman, then Moon Presence.
• Without restoring a save, choose one ending per journey. Keep the character into NG+ and NG++ for the others; weapons, tools and chalice progress carry over.
• For a backup route, make a genuinely restorable platform save backup after the Wet Nurse but before Gehrman's choice and before consuming the third cord. Obtain Sunrise, restore; obtain Honoring Wishes, restore; then consume three cords and complete Childhood's Beginning. Merely quitting or saving inside the game is not a backup.
• Secure the three cords first: Wet Nurse and Abandoned Old Workshop are dependable sources. Preserve either the impostor Iosefka until after Rom, or Arianna and her child quest for the third. A restore also rewinds inventory progress, so finish collection trophies first or track what must be reacquired.

Common collection failures

DLC weapons and tools do not count toward the base trophies. You do not need every Normal, Uncanny and Lost version: one version of each required weapon is enough. Use the full lists here, not only trick weapons; the torches and Wooden Shield are frequent omissions.
