How long to beat Bloodborne

These are crowd averages, not a developer quote. HowLongToBeat lists about 32 hours for the main story, 43.5 hours with side content, and 75.5 hours for a completionist run.

The 24 October 2026 check used HowLongToBeat's base-game entry and its separate The Old Hunters entry, not an invented playtest. The expansion estimates round to about 8 hours for the story, 10 with extras and 10.5 for completionist play. These are different player samples, not a guaranteed schedule or an exact add-on to your own base-game time.

How to use the ranges

Exploration, retries and optional areas can move a run far from the displayed estimate. The completionist category is not identical to a timed platinum route. The base entry has 1,184 main-story, 1,616 story-plus-extras and 1,027 completionist submissions in the checked data. The separate expansion entry has 88, 143 and 172 respectively; those sample sizes and estimates can change.

Platinum time was not given as its own verified figure. The trophy page lists what the platinum requires. It does not promise a weekend.

Questions

How long is the main story?

About 32 hours in the HowLongToBeat main sample checked for this page. Your route can be shorter or longer.

Does that include the DLC?

HowLongToBeat has a separate The Old Hunters entry: about 8 hours for its story, 10 with extras and 10.5 for completionist play in the 24 October 2026 snapshot. Do not assume every base-game submission includes or excludes the expansion in the same way.
