Bloodborne on shadPS4

shadPS4 is an open-source PS4 emulator whose README lists Bloodborne among games it can run. It does not include the game or console firmware. Its requirements are emulator requirements, not official Bloodborne PC specifications.

The checked README and quickstart disagree on macOS: the README says macOS 26.0 or newer and no Intel Macs, while the quickstart lists 15.4. That conflict is left explicit rather than resolved by guesswork.

Published minimums

The quickstart lists a 4-core, 6-thread CPU above 2.5 GHz with x86-64-v3, at least 2 GB VRAM, Vulkan 1.3 with VK_KHR_swapchain and VK_KHR_push_descriptor, 8 GB RAM, and Windows 10 or Ubuntu 22.04. These are general minimums, not a promise of Bloodborne at 60 FPS.

The project requires users to supply their own game and firmware dumps. Follow its separate instructions for updates and DLC; do not import a native-port fork's 1.00 crash claim as a universal emulator rule.

Release and compatibility limits

The stable core release checked was v.0.20.0, published 14 October 2026. A later prerelease is not the same as that stable build, and QtLauncher has its own versioning.

No hardware benchmark or full-game test was performed here. Running the game does not establish that every boss, online feature or graphics option works. Use the selected release documentation when installing, especially while the macOS documents disagree.

Questions

Does shadPS4 include Bloodborne?

No. The project requires your own game and firmware dumps. This site does not supply either.

What PC do I need?

The quickstart lists 4 cores/6 threads above 2.5 GHz, x86-64-v3, 2 GB VRAM, Vulkan 1.3 and 8 GB RAM on Windows 10 or Ubuntu 22.04. Those are emulator minimums, not a Bloodborne performance guarantee.

Which macOS version is supported?

The checked README says 26.0+ and excludes Intel Macs; the quickstart says 15.4. Check the requirements for the exact build instead of assuming the older number applies.
