Bluepoint closure reporting, speculation about a remake proposal and modified-console demonstrations are different evidence categories. None is substituted for a production announcement.

A timeline without invented causation

19 February 2026: Bloomberg's public introduction reports a PlayStation spokesperson saying Bluepoint would close after a business review, with formal closure planned the next month. The later 27 February remake-proposal story is not the date of this initial closure report. Its paywalled proposal details were not read and are not repeated here.

22 July 2026: GAME Watch's original CEDEC report describes Yoshida's puzzlement about the lack of PS5/PC versions and a sequel, and hope as a fan. It is not a release commitment.

24 October 2026 check: the PlayStation product page lists the PS4 game with PS5 compatibility. No active remake or remaster production is established by that page.

Technical demonstrations are not release plans

The full Digital Foundry modified-PS5 test was not readable in this check. Precise resolution/frame-rate combinations and extra-memory figures are therefore not asserted. A display refresh rate is not a measured locked game frame rate.

Even a demonstrated result on modified hardware would not itself announce a Sony update for retail consoles. No such release schedule was established here.

Questions

Is Bluepoint making a Bloodborne remaster?

No such production is established by the checked sources. Bloomberg reported its planned closure on 19 February 2026; unread remake-proposal details are not repeated or treated as its cause.

Does a modified-console test mean an official patch is coming?

No release commitment follows from a technical demonstration. No official retail 60fps update announcement was found in the publisher sources checked.
